If there are traits one can identify Filipinos and Ateneo Hearters with, these would be our great love for food and a massive deal of positivity. These highlight the Ignatian core values of character and culture.

As our country takes stronger protective measures to address the situation caused by COVID-19, we continue to explore creative ways to keep our passion for food and spread good vibes.

In celebration of the Nutrition Month, the Grade School Department Science Area had a successful run of the program namely, Ayudalicious. The aim was to make a healthier twist of the given ayuda, or government-provided assistance  items to improve nutrition value, add health benefits, eat well on a cost-effective budget, promote backyard gardening, and soothe the soul.

Healthy recipes were posted on Fridays of July. Science teachers kicked things off by posting their own visually appealing and savory Ayudalicious recipes with a few pesos worth of ingredients. Soon after, teachers, administrators, formators and other Ateneo Hearters, inspired by the sulit gourmets, also showcased their recipes with a particular ayuda item.

Feel and enjoy these gastronomic delights by searching #Ayudalicious on SHSAteneo de Cebu Grade School Facebook Page. Surely, one can find delights aplenty to please even the most discriminating taste buds.

Although July has ended, everyone is still highly encouraged to continue participating in this program through posting fortified recipes with #ayudalicious on their caption.

These days show unprecedented challenges for the health as all of us are strongly encouraged to stay at home. In these times, healthy diets are important to support the immune system. For optimal health, eat a healthy balanced diet, remain physically active at home, and don’t forget to smile.
