For most of us, the word ‘sembreak’ means having a vacation, going to different places and or staying at home. The start of my sembreak however, wasn’t spent at the beach or on my bed but rather in school for Math Camp : Math Explorations tp the Exciting World of Problem Solving . For two days, October 27 – 28, FAST Track students from grades 7 to 10 and even some alumni, gathered at the High School AVR to listen to Professor Ian June Garces of Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU). The camp was a two day activity of more than just lectures and powerpoint presentations, the speaker with the help of the Math teachers even prepared fun and interesting ways to help us learn not only how to solve certain math problems but also how to think. Truly it was worth the time.
