Congratulations! Keep up the good work! Good job! I’m so proud of you! These were just some of the frequently mentioned words during the GS Honors Assembly held at the Magis Eagles Arena last July 1, 2016. Seeing students together with their parents walking to the stage to get their medals was such a momentous event, for it did not only show the journey of a family, but also the journey of our school. It always takes a community to raise a child, even more if we want to raise servant leaders. Indeed, the Honors Assembly did not just show to us how competent Ateneo Hearters are, but it depicted a scene that as a school we do not also settle for anything less than our best. You can truly witness the spirit of MAGIS amongst our students, parents, teachers, staff and administrators. We are all gifted with so many talents and skills and this is one way of giving back to the people who helped us. It was a time to acknowledge not only our own efforts but also the efforts of those people behind all our successes. In the end, we always remember that getting all these awards is not what matters the most but it is how we use everything that we have learned to help uplift our home, our school, our community and eventually our country. Our skills and talents pose a challenge to us that there are still more that we can do. We do not stop because we have already earned good results, but we can raise our own standards to a whole new level to become the best that we can ever be.
